Happy Wednesday, space fans!
Did you hear the sonic boom created by a meteor hurtling through our atmosphere over the northeast US and exploding recently? Well, according to NASA, the meteor explosion wasn't just loud, it was as powerful as an explosion made by 300 tons of TNT. Speaking of surprises, China just launched the debut mission of its Falcon-9-esque rocket. But, in a move that was as surprising as it is concerning, China launched it without warning others who might be in the airspace ahead of time. Thankfully, it doesn't appear that this lack of communication created any issues this time around, but it certainly raises concern about future launches.
Scientists have concluded a 20-year search for the source of mysterious radio signals, we see a triple eclipse in a far-off star system, and skywatchers are already gearing up for this summer's solar eclipse here on Earth — check the map to see if you might be able to see it. There's a lot more space where that came from, so check out the biggest stories in space below!

That's it for our space update today!
Stay tuned as we are expecting some big updates on one of NASA's Mars missions (to those who follow closely, we don't expect that this will be a big surprise). We also anticipate some new updates with NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, and some new reports are suggesting that the launch isn't just on-track, it could possibly slip to launch even earlier than early September. Fingers crossed!
There's even more to look forward to, with some especially visible planets parading across the night sky, He-Man hitting theaters this Friday, and some strange new science in the search for life popping up. However, for fans of Stargate, we're very sorry to hear that the new series was canceled at Amazon MGM.
