Apollo 16 Astronaut Ken Mattingly dies at 87
(NASA)
The former NASA astronaut, who in 1970 was pulled from the Apollo 13 crew due to being exposed to the Rubella virus, died on Tuesday (Oct. 31) at the age of 87. Mattingly's death was confirmed by NASA.

Surprise! Asteroid 'Dinky' is actually a double space rock

The first-ever asteroid encounter of NASA's Lucy mission came with a twist, it turns out. Lucy zoomed past Dinkinesh on Wednesday, to find that the asteroid is actually part of a binary system. The discovery added another layer of excitement to an already-historic encounter.

SpaceX, NASA delay CRS-29 cargo launch again, to Nov. 9

SpaceX and NASA have delayed the next Dragon cargo launch to the International Space Station by two additional days, to Nov. 9, which will allow for "completion of final prelaunch closeout ahead of liftoff."
