Water frost has been spotted at the equator of Mars for the first time. "We thought it was impossible for frost to form around Mars' equator," one scientist says. "Its existence here is exciting, and hints that there are exceptional processes at play that are allowing frost to form."
"When you step into this factory, it is truly inspirational. My heart jumps out of my chest," Kate Tice, manager of SpaceX Quality Systems Engineering, said during the same livestream. "Now this will enable us to increase our production rate significantly as we build toward our long-term goal of producing one Ship per day and coming off the production line soon, Starship Version Two."
Bill Anders, who as an Apollo 8 astronaut was one of the first people to fly to the moon in 1968, was killed on Friday (June 7) when the vintage plane he was piloting crashed off the coast of the San Juan Islands in northwest Washington State. "The family is devastated," said his son Greg Anders. "He was a great pilot. He will be missed."
