The company's Electron rocket was scheduled to launch five "Internet of Things" satellites for the French company Kinéis today at 7 p.m. EDT (2300 GMT) from New Zealand. The countdown clock reached zero, and Electron appeared to fire up its first-stage engines. But they immediately shut down, resulting in an abort. *Поляритонная мультистабильность в хиральном полупроводниковом
микрорезонаторе

Фотонные резонансы в хиральных структурах приводят к большому количеству
интересных эффектов. Например, изготовление хирального фотонного
кристалла на верхнем зеркале полупроводникового микрорезонатора может
привести к тому, что его экситонная фотолюминесценция, как в спонтанном,
так и в лазерном режиме, может стать циркулярно-поляризованной [1,2]. С
другой стороны, нелинейность экситонного отклика при увеличении
интенсивности оптической накачки приводит к эффектам би- и
мультистабильности [3-5]. В докладе будет проанализирована
мультистабильность отклика экситон-поляритонов в хиральном
полупроводниковом микрорезонаторе. Будет показано, например, что даже
при линейно-поляризованной накачке и малой степени циркулярной
поляризации фотолюминесценции в спонтанном режиме, с ростом
интенсивности накачки в таких системах возможны резкие мультистабильные
переходы в состояния с высокой степенью циркулярной поляризации
фотолюминесценции.
