What's Up This Week?

Hello skywatchers!

The first week of November opens with bright skies and a mix of cosmic treats. The supermoon — the biggest and brightest of 2025 — lights up midweek alongside the peak of the Southern Taurid meteor shower. Jupiter also puts on a rare double-shadow show as two of its moon cast their inky silhouettes upon the gas giant

Don't miss astronomy Gianluca Masi's incredible photo of Comet Lemmon, captured at the perfect moment as a glowing meteor streaked across its tail, a stunning cosmic coincidence. And be sure to read our feature on what to expect from this week's spectacular supermoon

Here's what's up this week,

Clear skies,

Daisy
