Prada and Axiom just revealed a lunar spacesuit garment
Space.com
Happy Monday, space fans,

While the week has just begun, things are already heating up in space. Late last week, we saw cosmonauts go on a spacewalk to try and fix an air leak on the International Space Station. "Out of an abundance of caution," astronauts hunkered down in their SpaceX Dragon capsule during the spacewalk just in case things didn't go to plan. Thankfully the astronauts are all safe, but the repairs were paused at some point, so we will have to wait to see if the situation develops further.

Also, Prada and Axiom Space unveiled their liquid cooling and ventilation garment, and we got to go to Prada in NYC to see it, so check out our coverage here and on social media to follow along. Moreso, X-59 made its first supersonic flight, auroras might be overhead tonight, and NASA is set to reveal the Artemis 3 astronauts tomorrow! Who do you think will be on the crew?

Check out what's big in space below!

That's it for our space update today

This week is already off to a busy start. Tomorrow, we are looking forward to learning what astronauts will be selected for NASA's Artemis 3 mission. While this mission won't be landing astronauts on the moon (we'll have to wait for Artemis 4 for that), it's a massive next step forward in preparing for missions to the lunar surface. We have some thoughts on who it might be, but stay tuned tomorrow to see if your predictions might be correct!

Due to a predicted incoming coronal mass ejection  — a massive expulsion of plasma from the sun's atmosphere  — we are also expecting to see some northern lights over certain regions of the northern United States. Check out our maps and coverage to see if you might have a shot at seeing this spectacular phenomenon.
