Happy Wednesday, Space Fans! Today, we're kicking off with an exciting find from Mars: the Red Planet has a green glow. The European Space Agency's Mars Express probe has spotted the 1st visible-light signs of the eerie green hue in airglow, something long suspected, but only seen in infrared until now.
Last year, on Oct. 9, scientists witnessed an anomaly in the sky. A gamma-ray burst so bright, we now call it the BOAT - the Brightest Of All Time. And now, we know it actually reached Earth's atmosphere!
Lego is pulling out the stops for Black Friday, unveiling an epic Marvel Avengers Tower set to launch on Nov. 24 alongside a ton of special offers and gifts with purchase between Nov. 17 and Nov. 27. The launch company Rocket Lab has made big strides in small satellite launches on Electron boosters and is building a big reusable rocket called Neutron. But it's also found success in suborbital launches for the U.S. military, and it will fly a Hypersonix Launch Systems prototype for the Defense Department in 2025. Here's why.
UFOS (or UAPs, as I guess we're calling them now) have captured our imagination for decades, and now the U.S. military and NASA have made public statements on the phenomenon. In his new book, "UFO: The Inside Story of the US Government's Search for Alien Life Here - and Out There," author Garrett Graff looks back at the government's history with UFO sightings.
Black Friday is almost here and this early deal sees $1,000 off Unistellar's eVscope 2 telescope, which features in our best telescopes guide as the best option for larger budgets. If you're looking for a digital telescope (which doesn't have an eyepiece), this may be the right one for you.
