Landslides on Mars suggest water surrounded Olympus Mons
(ESA)
Researchers analyzing images of Mars' Olympus Mons, the tallest volcano in our solar system, say a wrinkled patch of land near the mountain's northern region likely formed when blisteringly hot lava oozed out of the summit millions of years ago.

That lava is thought to have run into ice and water at the mountain's base, resulting in landslides.

SpaceX launches 5,000th Starlink satellite into orbit

SpaceX launched 22 more of its Starlink internet satellites toward orbit on Aug. 26.

It was a milestone mission for SpaceX, bringing the total number of Starlink satellites the company has lofted to date to over 5,000, according to astrophysicist and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell.
