Фазовые переходы в режиме квантового эффекта Холла

В больших магнитных полях и при низких температурах в двумерных
электронных системах наблюдается серия фазовых переходов,
сопровождающихся кардинальной перестройкой основного состояния системы.
При этом, как правило, в разных фазах система имеет принципиально разное
упорядочение по одному или нескольким степеням свободы электронов. Одним
из примеров таких переходов является макроскопическая модификация
спиновой поляризации, которая наблюдается вблизи как целочисленных, так
и дробных состояний квантового эффекта Холла. Помимо спиновой, электроны
в низкоразмерных полупроводниковых структурах могут обладать и другими
степенями свободы, например, долинной. В этом случае соответствующие
фазовые переходы сопровождаются крупномасштабным перераспределением
электронов между разными эквивалентными долинами.

В рамках нашей работы такие фазовые переходы - как спиновые, так и
долинные - были изучены посредством методики электронного спинового
резонанса. Анализ интенсивности и ширины спиновых резонансов позволил
идентифицировать такие переходы, а также отследить эволюцию спиновой и
долинной поляризации системы при приложении к системе внешнего
механического напряжения, параллельного магнитного поля, а также при
изменении температуры образца.
