Kenna here with the latest headlines in the world of space news and science.  It's been a busy day so far, as The Exploration Company's "Mission Possible" Nyx capsule, that was part of SpaceX's Transporter-14 rideshare mission, crashed into the ocean.  In other news, employees at the National Science Foundation's headquarters were abruptly told to leave the building with no previous warning. На заседании Ученого совета ИТФ в пятницу 27.06 будут заслушаны 2
доклада:

Поглощение инерционных волн столбовым вихрем во вращательной
турбулентности

В трехмерных турбулентных течениях вращающейся жидкости, где сила
Кориолиса преобладает над силами инерции, наблюдается (экспериментально
[1] и численно [2]) формирование столбовых вихрей - крупномасштабных
когерентных долгоживущих потоков, однородных вдоль оси вращения. В
работе мы строим аналитическую модель, описывающую как осесимметричное
течение вихря поддерживает себя за счет поглощения инерционных волн.
Изучается случай накачки, когда инерционные волны попадают в вихрь с
периферии системы, где возбуждается турбулентность. В пределе коротких
длин волн и малой вязкости нами показано, что при движении
квазимонохроматическая волна, пришедшая в вихрь, передает тому свою
энергию и импульс только в узкой окрестности критического слоя [3],
который формируется для нее средним сдвиговым течением. В докладе мы
представляем определение поперечной компоненты тензора Рейнольдса,
усредненной по ансамблю волн, которая задает профиль скорости вихря [4].

Поглощение микроволнового излучения сверхпроводящими проводами

В работе исследовано поглощение микроволнового излучения сверхпроводящим
проводом, по которому течёт постоянный ток. Для этого в ведущем порядке
по микроволновому излучению была рассчитана проводимость с учётом
энергетической релаксации за счёт туннелирования в несверхпроводящий
резервуар. При достаточно высоких температурах существует область
частот, в которой проводимость пропорциональна времени неупругой
релаксации и может превышать стандартное выражение для проводимости
сверхпроводника, определяющееся упругими процессами. Однако, эта область
в линейной проводимости исчезает при уменьшении постоянного тока до
нуля.
