The study analyzed radiation data collected over the 25-day Artemis 1 mission from sensors placed throughout the spacecraft and inside two life-size mannequin torsos, named Helga and Zohar. Over the course of six hours, Space Perspective's trademarked "SpaceBalloon" ascent system carried Excelsior to an altitude of approximately 100,000 feet (30,480 meters) before its slow descent to a safe ocean splashdown and recovery. Though the path of annularity - a 165 to 206-mile (265 to 331-kilometer) wide route where the moon will cover up to about 93% of the sun's disk - passes over a small portion of land, eager eclipse chasers unable to watch in person will be able to follow along here on Space.com's solar eclipse live blog and watch the action unfold via numerous livestreams. The company had been planning to launch the Crew-9 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) for NASA from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Thursday afternoon (Sept. 26). However, that target date has slipped by at least two days, thanks to a maelstrom named Helene. Helene is a tropical storm at the moment, but it's expected to slam into Florida's Gulf Coast on Thursday as a Category 3 hurricane. Thus, NASA and SpaceX now aim to launch Crew-9 on Saturday (Sept. 28) at the earliest. Liftoff that day would be at 1:17 p.m. EDT (1717 GMT). On Sunday evening (Sept. 22), SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk posted on X a photo of dripping and damaged rocket hardware being lifted out of the ocean. The mangled metal is part of the first-stage booster that flew on the most recent Starship test flight, Musk said. Full Story: Space (9/23)  Search for Life Perseverance rover enroute to crater rim at 'Dox Castle' (NASA/JPL-Caltech/ASU) NASA's Perseverance Mars rover will soon encounter rare rubble dumped on the Red Planet by an ancient asteroid impact, kicking off a new phase of science observations as the rover continues its arduous trek to the western edge of Jezero Crater. Scientists working on the mission announced last week that Perseverance is enroute to Dox Castle, a patch of Jezero Crater whose rocks may have been dumped by the asteroid impact that carved the crater out. На заседании Ученого совета ИТФ в пятницу 27.09 в 11:30 будут заслушаны 2 доклада:

Ренормализация в однородной динамике (по материалам докторской диссертации)

Изучение динамических и топологических свойств перекладываний отрезков и их естественных обобщений является важной задачей, находящейся на стыке
нескольких разделов математики: теории динамических систем, маломерной топологии, алгебраической геометрии, теории чисел и геометрической теории групп. Известные результаты о перекладываниях отрезков опираются на изучение свойств процесса ренормализации - алгоритма, строящего по исходной динамической системе последовательность эквивалентных ей с меньшим множеством-носителем.

Я расскажу о некоторых обобщениях этих наблюдений на другие классы отображений отрезка в себя, а также о приложениях полученных результатов к задачам маломерной топологии, в том числе к задаче С. П. Новикова об асимптотическом поведении плоских сечений 3-периодических поверхностей.
